September’s theme of Radical Embodiment will contain both an exploration of somatic practices and wisdom to connect to the wisdom of our bodies, as well as an examination of the ways the body has been misused and maligned both in Western culture at large and sometimes even within SOM teachings. By understanding the roots of the misunderstanding and mistreatment of the body, we can radically–from the root–learn to embody our teachings as well as ourselves. Honoring the body as a sacred vessel and as a primary text for spiritual understanding, this month will provide an open-at-the-top understanding of embodiment as both something to be practiced and an ideal for which to strive.

we explore radically embodying the work of healing as we embrace and celebrate the miracle of the physical body.

Assistant Minister Reverend Frank Mastoris will be our guest speaker.

Jami Hudson Craig and Anam Cara will be our featured musicians.
