DESCRIPTION:September’s theme of Radical Embodiment will contain both an
exploration of somatic practices and wisdom to connect to the wisdom of ou
r bodies\, as well as an examination of the ways the body has been misused
and maligned both in Western culture at large and sometimes even within S
OM teachings. By understanding the roots of the misunderstanding and mistr
eatment of the body\, we can radically–from the root–learn to embody o
ur teachings as well as ourselves. Honoring the body as a sacred vessel an
d as a primary text for spiritual understanding\, this month will provide
an open-at-the-top understanding of embodiment as both something to be pra
cticed and an ideal for which to strive.\nThis week offers the opportunit
y to unveil and heal internalized fear or shame of the human body\, our ow
n and others\, as we recognize the embodiment of the Divine in and as each
and every physical body.\nAssistant Minister Rev. Frank Mastoris is our g
uest speaker.\nClint Hardnett is our featured musician.
